I had booked a room weeks in advance for New Year's Eve to have a romantic evening with my girlfriend. We arrived excitedly to the hotel with our bags, only to have them tell us they rented all the rooms to a large family even though we had specifically made the booking. We got an "oh sorry, we sold your room" and that was all. Do not go here.
What an amazing hidden gem. We stayed here for 1 night before moving onto another place for a work conference. We wish we could have stayed for longer. It's a little interesting getting there (up some small dirt lanes), but once you get there it's amazing. We were greeted by the lovely couple who run it and the personalised service is second to none.Honestly, cannot speak highly enough. Amazing rooms, lovely pool, relaxing surrounds, wonderful food, impeccable service. What a gem. As we were told, "When you stay here, you are not guest, you are part of the family."Ideal for couples wanting a romantic stay, and also for groups and families.
Perfectly equipped accommodation where we stayed with group of our friends three nights and if we could we would stay even longer. Before coming to Siem Reap we planned to visit “only” Angkor but luckily Sam, the owner of this property has also a travel agency and offers very nice and unique trips. On the top of that Sam’s wife is an artist and sells beautiful local souvenirs right on the spot - without crowds, rush and for very good prices.We recommend this place for 100%!
Sam, Thany, Merry , Bill .. fantastic host. We were a group of 8 friends and family who came fr Aus, Us and Malaysia. I was ticking my bucket list and very little I knew about Cambodian culture. It made our trip a memorable one when Thany who was almost going to deliver her 3rd Baby went all out of her way make us a wide spread of breakfast. Sam who gave us an experience of not only the food but his kind hospitality. You will never forget the experience! The property is immaculate. I will go again with my family and to visit their new member ! Thank You Sam
We were a group of three moms and four kids from 4 to 7yo, two girls and two boys. Unique Private Villa was just an ideal accommodation as they have four separated cottage rooms which ensure privacy and private area of each family, but easily accessible to one another. As they don’t accept other guests if more than two rooms were booked, it was completely our private villa during our stay. With super powerful (and loud)four kids,,, I couldn’t ask for more. All the facilities are well maintained and clean, although there were some little visitors(little bugs, and a frog lol) to my room but acceptable level. Kids loved swimming pool for sure, and also enjoyed meeting with new insects or lizards. They also got to play with owner’s daughter and seemed to enjoy a lot:) The owner and his wife are absolutely amazing. They take care of us with full of warm heart. They often kindly gave us a ride to town and also came picking us up after we watched the show at night or had a dinner. Their courtesy made us feel very secured and comfortable to travel with kids. All in all, this place is literary “Unique” and “Private” place to stay. I’ll definitely come back again. Definitely highly recommend for those who are planning a trip to Siem Reap.
